WHAT ARE YOUR EARRINGS?

Statement earrings are just that -- a statement piece. They are fun, out-there, and flat out weird, and can add fun and playfulness to any outfit. I own about 90 pairs of funky earrings, and get asked almost every time I wear most of them, “what ARE your earrings?” That question led to the development of this mobile and desktop app design!

TAKEAWAYS

This design was based on research of this target market. User interviews were completed, in order to create a user journey, wireframes, and identify the pain points to focus on further.

PROCESS

The research continued to build throughout the whole design process as well, as user tests were performed, asking the target audience to navigate the app, or perform specific tasks, to check the design and continue to improve it through the rounds of renditions.

CHALLENGES

The biggest takeaways from developing this app design was the multiple layers of focus, and concept of designing for other people. Being able to shift this focus to taking care of the user and their pain points was a new challenge and skillset that this project showed.
